The exact sales strategy that led to a $21k sales month

I think back to the early days of my coaching business and I just couldn’t make sense of the numbers I was seeing. 💰

I’d scroll through Facebook groups of online business owners celebrating their $8k sales DAYS or their $15k cash MONTHS (all while floating in a pool in Italy or some other incredible location 💁🏼‍♀️) and it felt like the furthest thing from my reality.

Because honestly? Past Amanda could only DREAM of numbers like that.

When I went all in on my pivot to coaching in 2018, I wanted so desperately to land that first client.

I wanted to show myself it was possible to pivot away from brand and web design to the coaching work that was on my heart.

Deep down, I knew that if I could just land ONE client, I’d feel like I’d made it. I could do it again and again.

And yet… I had no idea how to actually become known for something completely different. Not to mention, I lacked the confidence to even talk about something completely different. 😩

Enter mindset work and sales strategy (and a whole heck of a lot of the right support).

When I talk about Sincere Sales™ these aren’t just buzzwords to me. It’s a way of BEING that quite literally built this business from the ground up – from zero to six figures.

✨ It’s offering value before anyone pays me a dime.

✨ It’s caring about the humans I’m selling to.

✨ It’s believing in what I have to offer and communicating that.

✨ It’s a conversation with an invitation to take that next step.

✨ It’s taking care of myself AND taking care of the business.

✨ It’s feeling really damn good getting paid for the work that I do.

✨ It’s BIG income months and everything in between.

Yes, Sincere Sales™ transformed my business and my life and I know it has the potential to change yours.

The truth is that selling is really simple. It’s our brains that love to overcomplicate it. And all that mental drama can make it feel anything but easy to bring in that first or next client.

So many thoughts can kick up about what it takes to land high-ticket clients, so today I want to demystify the process. I’m taking you behind the scenes and sharing what ACTUALLY led to my own $21k sales month.

It’s time to simplify what it takes to hit big sales months of your own.

Getting visible and sharing valuable content consistently (PLUS selling in that content)

If you really wanted to scroll wayyyyy back through five years of Instagram posts then you absolutely could… just don’t judge my poorly filtered photos of banana pancakes from before that, ok?

Or if you wanted to binge all 250+ podcast episodes of One Simple Shift (and I highly suggest you do) then they’re there waiting for you.

Orrrrrrr you could watch the various interviews and collaborations I’ve done over the past five years.

My point is that I put out a heck of a lot of content consistently.

Now make no mistake, I’m not saying that it has to take a long time for you to make sales, but I am saying that any one piece of content may seem insignificant at the time, but it all compounds OVER time.

Your content is what showcases who you are, what you stand for, and why people should hire you. Meaning, it shows you’re open for business. And showing people that you’re open for business again and again compounds for bigger business results.

Did any one of those Future You clients this month convert because of one SINGLE post or episode? Honestly, I doubt it.

But does the fact that I’ve been showing up, sharing valuable content, social proof, and inviting people to work with me in a paid container make me a whole heck of a lot more reputable because of it? 100%.

Remember: good content makes you credible. And we’re always more likely to buy from people we like, know, and trust!

Offering free calls (and making them easy to book)

What I’ve found to be true is that free calls speed up the transformation from potential client to paying client. It shortens the journey of feeling out if I’m the right person to help and support them.

Recently, I’ve seen free calls get such a bad rap, but I truly see them as such an amazing tool for relationship building. That and I love offering them (if you know me, you know this is true).

I believe that coaching is very personal. I also know that I’m offering a high-touch service at a premium price point, so it makes sense that my sales process feels that way too.

And personally, when I’ve invested in my own coaches I wanted to talk to the coach first to be sure that we clicked personally before I punched in my credit card info.

There’s a congruence in offering free calls that I really love so I make them easy to book. You can literally get on my calendar for a free Sincere Sales coaching call with a few clicks.

And I know that the more calls I have, the more clients I book. Simple as that.

Selling on those free calls

Sales is 100% a skill that can be learned. I didn’t come into this online space with an ounce of knowledge about how to sell. But I did come into this space with a whole host of mindset gremlins standing in my way of landing clients. 😈

What I’ve found to be true is that the one thing that will help you to sell with more ease is practice (that and a heck of a lot of the right support). Don’t get me wrong, it can feel really freaking uncomfortable at the start, but the more that you do it, the easier it gets.

The other thing that makes it a heck of a lot easier? Having the right mindset to back your sales actions.

I 100% believe that I am one of the best investments that my potential clients can make so I’m not shy about sharing my coaching offers and how I can help.

This belief truly helps me to show up with integrity and I’m able to sell with so much more ease because of that. And it converts better too. 😉

A kick-a** follow-up email

I’m one of those people who really likes to see things written out so I like my potential clients to have that too.

So after each call, I send a follow-up email outlining what we chatted about and the offer that would best support them in their goals.

Now in full transparency, some people email me that they’re ready to move forward before I can even click send (definitely not complaining 😂).

But for the most part, I find that this makes the offer feel more personalized to what they’re struggling with and the transformation that is possible in our work together.

I’ve gotten some incredible feedback on my follow-up emails so while it might sound obvious… it is a nice touch that goes a long way!

The bottom line:

And there you have it… the exact sales strategy that led to a $21k sales month. Probably a lot simpler than you might have thought, right?

I’ll say it again: The truth is that selling is really simple. It’s our brains that love to overcomplicate it. And all that mental drama can make it feel anything but easy to bring in that first or next client.

Sales actions flow with SO much more ease (and less stress and obsessing) with the right mindset and support. If you’re ready to take that first step toward bigger results of your own, then I would absolutely love to support you on a free Sincere Sales coaching call.

Together we’ll uncover your biggest mindset block when it comes to sales so you can shift it and land that next client with more ease than you ever thought possible.

I love nothing more (ok, very few things!) than supporting you in the mindset and strategy shifts that will help you celebrate big sales months of your own!
